Brian Drake was on board today with friends and family for a bachelor party trip. Heading up the beach there was plenty of bait. Stopping just past SRI we made our bait in no time at all. Got three bass right away while making bait, Nice way too start the day. As bite died headed off to look for some fish, looked promising but wound up being Bluefish . Worked some PODs a little further up ,more Bluefish. Anchored up on a lump and wound up with three more bass and plenty of bluefish. Total for the day 6 bass and a bunch of blues. Had two bigs eels about 4 foot while fishing the lump. Wind came up and could not find any more fish on the way home.

Dan Cristofersen and friend Doc and crew were on board today, hoping to do a little live lining for the bass. Live baits were hard to come by in the AM for us and we read the fish so we put out the streches out . Had a bass right away so we stuck with it for a while. read plenty of fish and bait but no other takers for a while. Tried again to make some bait but no good with the east wind, Had some fresh bait from day prior so we attempted to chunk . Only got a couple skates. Back on the troll another late day wound up with two more fish. 3 fish up to 30 lbs all and all a slow day,but better then getting the skunk..

Jerry from Reliable construction was back aboard with another group today. Not the great fishing we had last week, but as capt Ron says we pulled the the rabbit out of the hat today. Thought we were going to get the skunk award today. Pea soup fog that lasted all day, had some bunkers ,trolled the streches, nothing, trolled the wire nothing, live lined nothing. Read fish all day, Had one fish on and wire broke. . It was almost 3 in the afternoon not a fish in the boat, Finally put a 25 lb Bass in the boat, proceded with 5 more by 3:30 in the afternoon. Saved tHE DAY IN THE LAST 45 MINUTES. Fish were all between 25-36 lbs. Back at it tomorrow..

Left a little late and heard there was not a bite to the North. Went down to the south off IBSP. Had bait and some readings but not enough to stop on. Went on the troll with Stretches and not a touch. Got a call to go a little further south. Got two on the troll right a way, after a little bit got a call the the fish came up a few more miless to the South, wound up getting 8 more on Krocs. Lot of fish but had to be 100 boats chasing the fish and knocking them down, Long ride but worth it catching 10 bass for our limit. Nice group of guys and a beautiful day on the water.

Had open Boat trip,on board were Doc Sal, Jim Sabo, and Barry Brown. Heading down South with a stiff South wind and swell ,did not know what to expect,as we thought the seas were going to build and be a repeat like last weekend ,glad we were wrong as the day went on the seas got nicer. Nice steady pick with the first drift boating six keepers. Found a couple patches of fish and we stayed with them. Wound up in 20-30 feet of water. By 8:30 we had our keepers and we were in release mode. Picked all day and easily had 55 fish today keeping our limit for 5 and releasing the rest. Only two Bluefish and all the fish were stuffed with sandeels.
