Like I "Called" it , the beach EXPLODED last night with stripers all over in the 15 to 25 pound range. Just as I was leaving the shop I started to get calls and went down to see my buddy John who had a 32 incher in the box already. An Hour after I left him he called me to give me the news of what was happening. I came this morning and Jim said that he has been weighing in all morning so I guess it went through the night and is still going on now. Drew H and Craig B combined to get 4 fish to 21 pounds. Jim P weighed in 2 fish to 21 pounds. Al Atkins had weighed in 2 nice fish for dinner and Mike F had 2 to 18 pounds. Steven B had 2 fish to 20 pounds Plenty of other fish caught but not weighed in at the shop. The only one not to catch was Bruce L but said he did hook into a mammal but it was self released with no harm and a good meal for the trip. Bruce said it was scary yet thrilling at the same time to see the jumps it was making out of the water. We are loaded up with BIG FRESH clams and some FRESH herring and I am waiting for Mr Smith to see what he will get me today.

Thanks and Good Luck

It was raining early but that didn't stop Ron Devine from going out and catching a 24 pound striper. The sun has come out and it looks very fishable out there. We have plenty of bait and should be getting more FRESH bunker in tomorrow. Rangers lost a tough one as Holtby played a GREAT game. Bring on game 7 at the GARDEN!!!!!

The low pressure is moving in as we speak and just received a report of two fish being caught. Had 1 in the shop this morning as Joe "Pissburg" DeGovan told his brother John " I don't need no stinkin boat" to catch a fish. Joe has been putting in his time and finally was able to bring home a 31 incher to put on the table. I love a "low pressure" system more then anything. Seems to really get these fish biting. I will report if they do start to feed. I still have FRESH bunker in and just received my FRESH clams. Cryers did what they had to win their game in OT. Another big game for the RANGERS tonight!!!!!

Good Luck

Brigantine Beach APRIL 27 2012
Been very slow for most of the week. Yesterday Skip had a nice 22 pounder and then later Drew H caught two fish to 18 pounds and a couple of other guys had fish including a drum fish. The wind is howling but it is at your back so the ocean is not that bad. Mixed reports of weedy in some spots and fine in other spots. I do have FRESH clams and some FRESH bunker left and Mr Smith will be hitting it again early tomorrow morning. I will post when it comes in.

Gotta LOVE THEM RANGERS!!!!!!!!

Good Luck

Brigantine Beach APRIL 21 2012
Just weighed in my 9th fish of the day is the Brigantine surf is starting to heat up. Ken Biondi started the day weighing in 1 fish from last night and two fish that he caught this morning using a Riptide Rotter sprayed with Berkley Gulp spray. Most of the fish have been caught with FRESH clams but there was one that was caught with FRESH bunker that we just got in. The fish have been in the 10 to 15 pound range today and with this low pressure system moving in it should only make the bite that much better. I know the stripers have been spawning but how long does it take to make a baby striper????? Time to to get the job done and start to feed.

Good Luck
